A special Professor Appointment ceremony was held in China-US (Henan) Hormel Cancer Institute In March 18th. Dr. Hongyang Wang was employed as a special professor in our institute, she will work with experts in Henan province and contributes to the basic and clinical Research of transformation medicine and precise cancer therapy.

Dr. Hongyang Wang is the director and professor of the center for signal transduction in the Institute of Oriental Department of hepatobiliary surgery in Shanghai. She engaged in basic and clinical research in cancer therapy and had built on the research of signal transduction of tumor, especially the signal transduction and early diagnostic markers of liver cancer. She has also undertaken many important topics such as "973", "863" and National Natural Science Foundation. She has enjoyed a high reputation in medical field both in country and overseas.

China-US (Henan) Hormel Cancer Institute was established by Henan Provincial Government and the University of Minnesota in the United States and it is also one of the provincial construction projects. The Institute was founded on the basis of the Henan Cancer Hospital, mainly engaged in basic research and clinical transformation of anti-cancer drugs and tumor chemical prevention. It has been approved by many national research platform projects, and has established a clinical foundation research cooperation with many well-known domestic and foreign organizations.

During the ceremony, Guangsheng Li, the director of the provincial defense planning committee, make a speech and give his hope that both of the cooperators will play their own advantages in the basic research and clinical transformation of cancer therapy, improve scientific research and innovation ability of Medical talents, promote the development of the biological medicine industry and the progress of clinical medicine and promote the well-being of the people in Henan Province.
