INTRODUCTION
In an effort to globally collaborate in the quest to prevent and control human cancer, The China-US (Henan) Cancer Hormel Cancer Institute was officially established in September 2013.
The China-US (Henan) Hormel Cancer Institute operates on the basis of a "director responsibility" system and is under the leadership of a council that includes organizations like Henan Health and Family Planning Committee, the Henan Department of Science and Technology, the Henan Department of Finance, the Henan Headcount Office, the Henan Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Henan Development and Reform Commission, the Henan Cancer Hospital, and the Henan Provincial People's Hospital.
The China-US (Henan) Hormel Cancer Institute is a state of the art cancer center located in the Henan Cancer Hospital, on the fifth floor of the outpatient building. The innovative research center covers an area of over 57,000 square feet and has over $11 million dollars invested in technology to provide its scientists with the most advanced equipment. The center is comprised of expert cancer researchers from around the world, excited to be part of its important mission to positively impact human health. Global collaborations are also rapidly growing in the quest to find solutions to the cancer problem.
The Institute focuses on accelerating answers to cancers highly prevalent in the Henan Province through both basic and translational research. These cancers are common worldwide as well. Our growing and diverse group of experts is realizing its vision to build an international platform to both inspire and ensure cancer breakthroughs. Our speed in translation of basic research results to clinical treatment is among the most advanced in the world as we apply important cancer research discoveries.
Our gratitude to the Henan Provincial Government for its generous annual support to sustain and grow operations. The China-US (Henan) Hormel Cancer Institute is only just beginning to accelerate research discoveries to improve and protect human health worldwide. Thank you for your interest and support and we invite you to contact us for more information.
